Hyplon-10 is a sedative, often referred to as a hypnotic. It modifies brain chemicals that may become imbalanced, leading to sleep issues such as insomnia. Hyplon-10 is prescribed for treating insomnia. This medication promotes relaxation, aiding you in both falling asleep and remaining asleep.
 
Hyplon-10 may lead to a serious allergic reaction. Cease taking Hyplon-10 and seek immediate medical assistance if you notice any signs of an allergic reaction, including hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. Hyplon-10 will induce sleep; do not take this medication during your regular waking hours unless you have a minimum of 4 hours available for sleep.
 
Certain individuals using this medication have participated in activities like driving, eating, or making phone calls, and later had no memory of doing so. If this occurs, discontinue this medication and consult your doctor about alternative treatments for your sleep issues.
 
Hyplon-10 can produce side effects that may affect your cognitive functions and reactions. You might still feel drowsy the following morning after taking the medication. Until you understand how Hyplon-10 affects you while awake, exercise caution when driving, operating machinery, piloting an aircraft, or engaging in activities requiring alertness. Avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication as it can amplify certain side effects of Hyplon-10, including drowsiness. Hyplon-10 may be addictive and should only be used by the individual it was prescribed for. This medication must not be shared with anyone else, particularly those with a history of substance abuse or addiction. Store the medication securely to prevent access by others.
 
Withdrawal symptoms may occur if you discontinue this medication after several consecutive days of use. Do not abruptly stop taking Hyplon without consulting your doctor first. You may need to gradually reduce your dosage before completely stopping the medication. Avoid using this medication if you have an allergy to zaleplon.
 
Before starting this medication, inform your doctor if you have any drug allergies, or if you suffer from: liver disease; sleep apnea (temporary cessation of breathing during sleep); lung conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); a history of depression, mental health issues, or suicidal thoughts; or a history of substance abuse or addiction.
 
If you have any of these conditions, you may require a dosage adjustment or specific tests to take Hyplon-10 safely. This medication may pose risks to an unborn child. Notify your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while receiving treatment. Hyplon-10 can be excreted in breast milk and may be harmful to a breastfeeding infant. Consult your doctor before using this medication if you are nursing. The sedative effects of Hyplon-10 may be more pronounced in elderly patients, who are at higher risk for falls while using sedatives. Take care to avoid falls or accidental injuries while on Hyplon.
 
Hyplon may lead to dependence and should be used solely by the individual for whom it was prescribed. Hyplon-10 must never be shared with another person, especially anyone with a history of drug misuse or addiction. Ensure the medication is stored safely where it cannot be accessed by others.
